The Scoop on FEWnet
|
|
. . . . .
"To love what you do and feel that it matters, how
could anything be more fun?" - Katherine Graham
As you will see as soon as you start reading this
month's Just Dessert, FEWnet has gotten a face lift!
We are so pleased to be unveiling both a new look to
our web site, www.fewnet.com, as
well as our
e-newsletter.
Fresh, fun, and ready to embrace change (just like
our FEWnet members), FEWnet will be undergoing a few
other changes in the coming months, including: Just
Dessert will increase the number of publications per
year; we will be throwing a Spring and Fall party in
2007; and small groups are being reviewed as we look
at ways to make that time as valuable as possible
for participants.
We encourage you to check out our new website and by
all means, email us
with your comments. We look
forward to hearing from you!

Career Changes, Not Job Changes
We have heard from many members who have been in the
same job for 8+ years, are feeling stagnant in their
current positions, and are looking for avenues of
change. Some women are buying second residences to
pursue outside hobbies, others are returning to
school for MBAs in Marketing or other areas of
interest, while some are choosing to pursue
different career paths to round out their skill
set/expertise area.

. . . . .
We had the honor of attending this year's Women
in Business Awards Luncheon in July, recognizing 25
"Women to Watch" and "Women Industry Leaders." One
well deserved woman received the Career
Achievement Award while one much lauded man received
the Ally Award for his work in helping women reach
new heights in their careers. We were happy to see
so many FEWnet members present and were thrilled to
celebrate those of you who took home awards of your
own. One of these award winners was our very own
Karen Oman and we congratulate her most recent
achievement. As always, we would like to
encourage all of you to recommend FEWnet to other
leading women in our industry. Simply have them
visit us at www.fewnet.com or
contact Dori
Estrella and she will gladly share the value of
our larger community
as well as opportunities available in our monthly
small groups. The more the merrier, we always say!
